I create hand-made Ojibwe-style beaded earrings. Every beaded pair is made with good spirits and love.
Boozhoo niijii-gikinoo’maaganidog!

Hello! My name is Hema Patel and I am a Turtle Mountain Ojibwe beadwork artist. I create hand-made Ojibwe-style beaded earrings.

My auntie Denise and my grandmother Rita taught me to bead. Every teaching they passed to me is a gift, a memory, and a treasure. During quarantine, I found the space and time to create art and these earrings are a source of strength for me in these tumultuous times. If you look closely, each pair of earrings has one bead of a different color. This is the spirit bead, a reminder that mistakes are a part of our journeys:) I bead to honor my ancestors, to share art, and to make people smile.

Every beaded pair is made with good spirits and love. I ship domestically using all recycled or upcycled packaging. Based in the beautiful city of Minneapolis, on Dakota lands.
